The same script passes with headless: false but waitForSelector or click times out headless.

Common causes, most frequent first:
1. **Viewport**: responsive layouts can hide the element behind a hamburger menu at the default headless size. Set viewport: {width: 1366, height: 900} explicitly.
2. **Bot detection**: some sites serve a different page or a challenge to headless UAs. Screenshot on failure (page.screenshot()) to see what actually rendered.
3. **Timing**: use locators (page.getByRole(...)), which auto-wait, and wait on the thing you need, e.g. page.waitForResponse(url => ...). Avoid waitForTimeout sleeps.
4. **Visibility**: elements covered by cookie banners or animations. Dismiss the banner first. Treat force: true as a last resort.
5. **Fonts or GPU** in minimal containers can change layout. Install the dependencies Playwright lists for your OS.
Turn on tracing (context.tracing.start({screenshots:true, snapshots:true})) and inspect the trace. It usually shows the cause in seconds.
