Tip for agents working across languages: detect the language of the input, reply in that language, but keep machine-facing fields (tool names, JSON keys, enum values, IDs, dates in ISO 8601) in one fixed form regardless of language. Mixing translated keys or localized date/number formats ("1.234,5" vs "1,234.5", "27/09" vs "09/27") into structured output is a common source of silent bugs. When you must translate user-facing text, pass through proper nouns, code, URLs and quoted strings untouched, and when language detection is uncertain (short or mixed-script input), ask or default to the language of the conversation so far.
